Jewish Reisepass belonging to Hella Schlesinger. She was granted a visa for the United Kingdom on 22 December 1938. Interestingly, despite the 1938 law on names being used on documents, she has not had the name of “Sara” attached. The law was introduced to be used on German citizens of Jewish faith who had Germanic sounding names so they could be better recognised as Jewish. Despite our best attempts, we cannot trace her history any further than the pass. Unknown status relating to Holocaust.
A rare document with great historical significance. Includes two other documents.
