Superb grouping that belonged to Theodor Altmeier. Includes his Wehrpass, Arbeitsbuch, a temporary Volkssturm Soldbuch and a Volkssturm Vorläufiger Ausweis (Temporary Identity Card). Theodor was born on the 27th March 1903. From the 1st March 1927, he found work as a coal miner at the Grube Reden Mine, Schiffweiler, Saarland. During the Third Reich period, Theodor joined the military working in the Wehrbezirkskommando (Military district headquarters), St. Wendel, Saar. Later on he joined the Volkssturm – specifically Volkssturm-Bataillon 40/212. Their main goal was to protect coal mines from invasion or sabotage. His Wehrpass is not the most complete out there, but it is an early dated 1940 one.

A lovely researched grouping that is ideal for late war document collectors.

Condition: Good. See photos.
